Your Dog's Five Star Stay
CAN WE MEET THE HOLIDAY HOST IN THEIR HOME WHERE MY DOGS WILL BE STAYING?
Yes, absolutely, it’s all part of our Five Star Stay. Your dog can have a good sniff around, meet the person who they will be staying with so that it is all familiar before they come for their holiday!
HOW MANY HOMES AND HOSTS DO YOU HAVE?
We currently have 15 holiday homes in the local area.
DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM STAY?
Yes we have a minimum of a two night stay.
DO YOU PROVIDE A PICK UP AND DROP HOME SERVICE?
Yes. As part of your dogs Five Star Stay we provide a FREE Chauffeur pick up and drop home service.
WHAT TIME CAN MY DOG BE PICKED UP AND DROPPED HOME?
We have morning and afternoon pick up and drop home slots available every day, Monday to Saturday. They are at pre-arranged times between 8am and 11am or between 3pm and 6pm. All designed to suit you and your holiday plans. We can discuss your exact time requirements when we meet you.
CAN YOU PICK UP OR DROP MY DOG HOME ON A SUNDAY?
No. Arrivals and departures are not permitted on a Sunday. This allows for our holiday hosts and also ourselves to have one day per week where there are no dog holiday handovers.
CAN I DROP MY DOG OFF AND PICK MY DOG UP?
No. However, we provide a fantastic FREE chauffeur service for your dog at a specific time to fit in perfectly with your holiday arrangements. Our chauffeur will make sure that your dog is embarking on their holiday with everything that they need.
Our Holiday Hosts have their own ID tag that we personally put on each dog staying once they have arrived at their holiday home. In addition your dogs will travel with his/her own special holiday suitcase specially provided by New Forest Dog Holidays, packed full of goodies and important supplies for your dogs stay for both your dog and their Holiday Host to enjoy. It’s at this point that we spend time with our Holiday Hosts running through all their details, routine etc. It’s actually at these times that we are often needed to provide the most support to our team. We have also found that the dogs settle quicker when chauffeured by New Forest Dog Holidays, especially for the first time, as they do not see it as their owner dropping them off and leaving them behind. They are excited to start their New Forest Dog Holiday and enjoy plenty of fuss and attention!
DO YOU TAKE DOGS IN SEASON?
No ,we are unable take dogs in season. Should your dog come into season whilst on holiday with us we ask that you have an emergecny contact in place to look after your dog.
WHAT SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES DO YOU HAVE IN PLACE?
Our initial meeting with you and FREE registration is all completed online, it is simple and easy. We usually use Zoom or Skype for these meetings.
When meeting your Holiday Host you will be sent their own specific individual measures they have put in place based on their own home set up, and industry guidelines, we will discuss this in more detail when we meet and complete your registration. Currently all initial meetings with Holiday Hosts are currently taking place in their secure back gardens.
When we pick your dog up for their Five Star Stay we will discuss with you beforehand a safe way to collect your dog and their belongings, again based on your home set up.
WHAT SHOULD I PACK FOR MY DOG'S HOLIDAY?
We ask all dogs to come with their own bed, their food, any special treats they have and also their favourite toy (if they have one). Each dog staying with New Forest Dog Holidays will travel with their very own Holiday Suitcase provided by us which is packed full of toys, treats, poo bags and lots of fun planned days out and walks for them to enjoy.
HOW DO I MAKE PAYMENT?
All payments are made via online banking in advance of any holiday stays, we will discuss this with you in detail when we meet.
